The Benefits of Above Ground Pools
I think my proudest moment blogging came a few summer backs when I was able to purchase for the family an above ground pool. I can honestly say that was probably the best thing I have ever been able to buy since I started blogging. This was something that the whole family could use. Plus I will have to admit there is nothing I love better than reading a book while floating in the pool.
I will confess that I spent a lot of time last summer, sitting on our deck, by the pool, listening to the pool pump, while I did my devotionals. There is something about water that just soothes my soul.
Recently I have been thinking about the benefits of owning an above ground pool. So here is my list.
- First, they are easy to install. Yes, the first time we put ours up we did need a little help, but nothing like what we have to undertake in we got an in ground one. Plus there are no big trucks messing up the yard, and strange workers hanging around.
- They aren’t permanent. If we decide that we longer want a pool we can just take it down and throw some grass seed down. But not so if we had an underground pool. I can’t even imagine all the work that would be required to get rid of an in ground pool.
- The safety issue. That one is always fresh in our mind. Since we have neighbors, who have little kids. We just lock up the ladder. It doesn’t require a fence since it is high enough off the ground. Plus we don’t have to worry about the cats or Allie accidentally falling into it. Although Jinxy does like walking around the top edge of the pool, that crazy cat.
I will admit that I have often thought that an in-ground pool would be a fantastic choice. I now know above ground is the way to go. And I have found the best above ground pools at Above Ground Pool Central.
