We Adopted #StormBoy

Allie again. I want to share a little secret with you my parents have adopted another furbaby. This time I don’t mind it because it won’t be a furbaby that we will keep at our house. Never heard of the movie, well I can say that I was able to watch it with my mommy on one of those days she wasn’t feeling so great- she has been having a lot of sinus issues since Spring has finally sprung in North Carolina and everything is yellow. So I was able to curl up and watch the movie with the advanced screening code she was given.
I love any movie that has animals in it. And Storm Boy has a ton of pelicans in it. It is all about how a boy adopted three orphaned baby pelicans after their mom was shot by hunters. The boy soon learns the love of a parent. I mean he even takes fish and blends and grinds them up for them. Can you say yuck?
Eventually, the pelicans are grown up enough to leave the boy and they fly off to make their mark in the world. But a few days later, one who I know was the boy’s favorite Mr. Percival comes back and stays to live with the boy and his dad.
Talk about funny, at first, the townspeople were surprised to see Mr. Percival walk down the streets of the town but soon they came to look forward to his walks with the boy.
I honestly can’t say enough about this movie and I am glad that my mommy was given the chance to review this film and to team up with the World Animal Foundation to adopt a pelican who we have named Pip.
