Tootsie Rolls For Emma

When you think of the word Tootsie Roll? You think of the chocolate flavored candy that is so delicious that you just can’t stop yourself from eating one. But yesterday in the blogging world seeing a Tootsie Roll took on a whole new meaning.

Although we often say the blogging world is so big that we can’t begin to read all the blogs out there or can’t begin to know all the bloggers that blog. But when tragedy strikes the blogging world, it becomes such a small community.

If you haven’t heard by now, two fellow bloggers lost their 15-year-old daughter in a freak farming accident. I can’t begin to fathom what these parents are going through as my girls are around the same age as theirs. Losing a child is by far I understand the worse experience that anyone can go through. I don’t think my parents ever recovered from losing my sister and she was 28 years old.

Yesterday Emma was laid to rest and as  show of support to her family, one blogger came up with the idea to flood social media with  pictures of Tootsie Rolls with the words #ForOurEmma and #TootsieRollsForEmma. Although I didn’t do that, I was inspired to write this post. Losing a loved one is never easy but losing someone who is so young and so full of potential is just life changing.

I don’t think I will ever look at a Tootsie Roll in the same way again. This tragedy has touched us all  so to show support to this couple who has lost their oldest daughter, I want you to visit blogs  I Heart The Mart and My Litter. If you have a few minutes head over there and show them so love. Losing a child is heartbreaking.

Paul and Tiffany, our thoughts and prayers go out to you and the rest of your family as you deal with this tragedy. May God’s comforting  arms be wrapped around you at all time.
