Retirement that word can bring either fear or happiness to some people. Some people have their perfect idea of what they want retirement to be like.
We all have dreams of one day of retiring and living the life of leisure. My idea of the perfect retirement would be at the beach living the life of leisure. I mean can you just picture it? Sitting on the balcony with my husband, listening to the waves hitting the shores. Basking in the glow of the sun as well as soaking up that vitamin D. The feel of the wind in my hair. There is something about being around water that calms my soul. I guess that has something to do with my astrological sign, Cancer, the crab. Sitting there without a care in the world. Not having to worry about how I will pay the bills that are in the mailbox and not worrying about when my next meal will be.
For most this will be a dream, an unreachable dream, that is. Many people when it comes to retiring, as forced to take low paying jobs after retirement just to be able to survive and live on. When you are in your twenties or heck even in your teens, retirement seems a long way off. In fact, I bet if you ask anyone in their teens or twenties would say that they are not even thinking about it. Which is sad really, because in reality when you are in your twenties is when you should start thinking about it. There are ways to you can save for retirement to make it easier and to make it the retirement of your dreams. So what are waiting for? Start thinking about retirement because you know it, it will be here and you will be unprepared.
