Why Stay at Home Moms Should Not Feel Guilty About Hiring a Cleaning Service

Less parents are deciding to stay at home looking after children and choose to pursue a career instead. In fact, according to the Center for American Progress, nearly two-thirds of US mothers are breadwinners, meaning they are supporting their families by finding a job. That’s 64.4 percent of all mothers, which is a 1.1% increase compared to the analysis conducted in 2012. However, there are still a lot of parents who’d love nothing more than to watch their kids grow up and be there for them. While it’s great to spend so much time with your kids, being a stay-at-home parent is not a walk in the park. Apart from taking care of your kids, which is demanding in itself, there are other chores around the house no one will take care of but you. Most stay-at-home moms take care of all the chores, including strenuous ones like cooking and cleaning on their own, even when they feel extremely tired. And with cleaning, it’s a constant effort. There’s always something to clean, no matter how meticulous we are.

Caught up in all these chores, we tend to forget who we are. We neglect our hobbies, forget to call our friends and completely alienate ourselves in an endless loop of housework.

At the end of the day, who wouldn’t want to relax with a good movie or a game of cards rather than clean up a mess that won’t go away?

There’s an easy solution though.

Hire a cleaning service!

I know, I know. That seems like an exaggeration. Why pay someone to do what you can? Well, you just read why!

Why would you take up the burden of keeping your home clean when you can hire a professional to take care of that, probably better than you ever could?

There are numerous benefits to hiring a professional cleaning service to take care of this least-favorite chore for you. Here are some of them:

Your Home Will Stay Clean

Taking care of children can be a very demanding job. So can cleaning after them. Children are messy by nature, and having to handle both parenting and cleaning at the same time is a mission impossible.

What you can do is contact a company that provides cleaning services residential. This way, your home will always be clean, and you will be able to give that time to your kids. If the rest of the home is clean, taking care of one small stain won’t seem that tiresome.

You Can Balance Your Other Duties

There’s no clause in the stay-at-home mom “contract” that says you should actually be at home all the time.

Between shopping for groceries, visiting the doctors, taking your kids to play dates, and everything else that comes with the job description, you will hardly ever spend any time at home.

And you should not spend this time doing another chore.

You Can Spend More Time with Your Kids or by Yourself

If you hire a cleaning service, you will have a lot more free time. You can use this time to take your kids to all kinds of fun places like the zoo or the movies.

Or you can hire a babysitter and do something for you or your partner. Taking care of kids tends to make us neglect our better halves.

You Won’t Have to Worry About Your Kids’ Health

There are a lot of dangerous chemicals sold as cleaning agents on the market. Sure, you can do your research and find out which ones are not harmful to your kids.

But let’s be honest, you don’t always have the time to do the research or the luxury of choice of often expensive, organic products.

Professional maid services use only safe products to clean your home, so you won’t have to worry about side effects or harming the environment.

It Will Help You Manage Stress

Do you stress over guests coming over or your children having a play date because that means having to put all your other obligations on ice to clean your home?

This is just one of many examples of how a messy home can give you a headache. If you hire a cleaning service, you won’t have to clean your house in a rush or stress about having guests over ever again.

If somebody drops by unannounced, your home will be ready for them.

Not having to cope with stress means you’ll have more energy for your kids, meaning they will get to spend time with the best version of you. When your kids ask you to take them to a mall or play with them, you will be more than happy to do so.

  3. I couldn’t agree more with your perspective on hiring a cleaning service. It’s not just about freeing up time; it’s about improving the quality of life for the entire family. One aspect people often overlook is the impact of cleaning products on indoor air quality.
