Night of the Museum Family Movie Night

I was provided a family movie night kit from VocalPoint. However all opinions expressed are 100% mine. 

Now that Maddie, my oldest is away at college it is not often that I have all three girls under one roof but several weeks this strange phenomenon occurred. Maddie was home on Spring break so what better time than to have a family movie night. I use the word phenomenon here because it is just fitting as the movie for movie night was The Night at the Museum 3 Secret of the Tomb.

If you are unfamiliar with this movie, I want to know what rock you have been hiding under. These movies are not only cute but I love how they bring history to life for adults and children alike. Before we sat down to watch the movie we of course had to get our snacks together.

We made popcorn bags mixed with microwave popcorn and M&M’s. These were so easy to make all we had to do was pop the popcorn and then just mix the M&M’s in with the bag. Then we decided we wanted to make monkey bread in honor of Dexter, the monkey from the movie. This was really quite easy. All you have to do follow this recipe.

Monkey Bread

We recently watched had a family movie night and in honor of Dexter from the Night of The Museum we decided to make Monkey Bread.

Prep Time 10 minutes mins

Cook Time 20 minutes mins

Total Time 30 minutes mins

Servings 10 people

Ingredients

  

1x2x3x

• 1 can Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls

Instructions

 

• Preheat oven to 375.
• Using a Bundt cake pan, spray the inside with nonstick cooking spray.
• Take your cinnamon rolls out of the tube.
  
• Cut each cinnamon roll into four pieces.
  
• Place the pieces into the cake pan. Making sure that they touch just a little.
  
• Cook in oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
• Take your icing container and put it in the microwave for 10 seconds
• Flip the monkey bread out of the container and then drizzle with the microwaved icing.

So now onto the movie, I will admit that I was a little saddened to see Robin Williams in this movie because I grew up knowing him as Mork from Ork in the show Mork & Mindy. His death was so tragic. But that did not take away from how funny and interesting this movie was. I can honestly say that this movie was just as good as the other movies. I would so recommend this movie to everyone I see.
