My Take on John Carter
Lately you have seen posts about clips from the movie, John Carter that was just released this past weekend. I do this not because I am getting paid to but I believe this is one of the better movies I have seen in a long time. I normally do not like any kind of science fiction movies at all. But this one blew me away. I had the opportunity to attend a prescreening of the movie, as press. Yes I said press, little old me why just a year ago started this blog is now considered press by companies. I was allowed to bring one guest with me. I bought one of the ladies from work who as she terms it I am her “soul sister.” While waiting for the movie to start I actually met another blogger who I already followed but did not realize she was local like me. If you get a chance check out her blog, A Helicopter Mom. Mickey was a hoot.
Well enough about that on to the review of the movie. There is something for everyone in this movie. Action, romance, strange beings, the awesome story line- classic one of good vs. evil, intrigue, and mixed in there is a little bit of American History. How cool is that? I loved this movie. This is one that I will take my family to see in the upcoming weeks.
As you already know my favorite character was Woola. Or as I like to call her the Allie wannabe.
This has been the first movie in a long time that I would say was good for the whole family to see. The 3d special effects were out of this world. Which by the way did I tell you the film takes place on a planet we call Mars. So if you looking for a family friendly movie to take the kids to in the upcoming weeks (or when the kids are on Spring Break) consider checking out John Carter. It will sure not disappoint you.
I received to complimentary tickets for the purpose of this review. No other monetary compensation was provided. The opinions expressed are mine. I am posting this as part of the Disney Insiders Program.
