Make Name Pumpkins
This post was first published on November 4, 2012. But since the fall season is once again upon us I thought I would repost.
I love when the holidays come around, because to me it means crafting with my girls. We recently came across an alternative ways to decorate pumpkins. Here are some things that we have done. (Tip: check out your local dollar store to see if you can find Styrofoam pumpkins.) If you are lucky enough to have found here are some ways to take those pumpkins and use them all throughout the fall season into winter. You can use ribbons to spell out BOO on three pumpkins. You can also use ribbon and an old black chain to spell out words in the pumpkins. I did a set with our last name on them. You can change the chain out with thumbtacks if you want. Also if you have a real pumpkin that you have not carved then here is a suggestion. Spray paint your pumpkin white and paint the first letter of your last name on the pumpkin surround it with holly and magnolia leaves, and pine needles. Once you do that put it out on a table near your front door and you will have a beautiful display for your front entry. There are so many ways to be creative just let your imagination run wild.
