Last Minute Holiday Shopping

Are you a last minute shopper?? I normally am not but I have been blessed with being married to one. Yep Raul, my husband, shops for everything at the last minute. No matter the occasion he always waits until the last minute. I think if stores were open on Christmas Day that is when he would do the Christmas shopping. He is the type of husband that waits until he gets off work on Valentine’s Day to buy a gift. Yep and what does he get slim pickings. So that is why I always tell him to buy me a flower I can plant in the yard for Valentine’s Day, because I know they are easier to find. Here is an example of his last minute shopping, several weeks before Christmas I take him out shopping suggesting items that I would like to have. He kind of sort of pays attention but not to every detail. So what do I expect – I have given up expecting lol. This Christmas was classic though. I told him I liked this sweater and said the blue one was really pretty. I also told him the size that wear. He only heard the word blue. So Christmas morning I open up to find the pretty blue sweater but in the wrong size. Now I know you are thinking wow that doesn’t sound bad but it gets worse. The blue sweater was big enough that the girls and I could all wear it together (at the same time) and still have room left over. I asked him did he really think I was that big? (I know loaded question right?) He said well that was the only blue one they had and I knew you liked that color LOL. So tell me what have gotten when your spouse has done their shopping at the last minute. I shared my story now you share yours.
