I have mention this often on the blog that “it’s the thought that counts”, I guess one of the reasons I saw that so often it because I was brought up to do just that. Now with raising three girls I to instill in them the same thought. Life is a not about the grand gestures it is about the small ones that sometimes go unnoticed but yet reaps so many rewards. She is my go to person when things get rough and one of the few people who I feel I can be my true self with and not be judged. Her son has become a part of our family. Last year was rough for her because her husband was deployed during this time of year so this year I was determined to help make this Christmas even better. How you ask by doing small gestures for her and her family? For instance during Thanksgiving break, Mikaela puppy sat her dog. Knowing that they were driving ten hours straight to get back home, we had dinner waiting for her and her family. Allowing them a chance to relax and unwind before going home and unpacking. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of this holiday season, sometimes we forget to do the little things that can mean so much. I mean seriously how long does it take to let one car go in front of you in a parking lot.
