How to write a great blog

There are many words of advice that I could give you about how to write a great blog, but the best tip that I can give you is to be true to who you are. When I first started in this crazy world of blogging I was not looking for money or fame, I was doing it for myself. I built a readership first then the opportunities to earn money from my writings starting coming in.You have to patient with your blog as well. I have been on this blogging adventure for almost two years now and I have learned that there will be setbacks but you have to keep your head up and proceed. Once you get your name out there you will soon have companies contacting you for sponsored posts and items to review. But please remember to not let your blog become strictly an advertisement for products. Remember to include those personal posts that your readers fell in love with in the first place. Adding personal stories makes you more of a friend to your readers than an advertisement. One of the biggest compliments that I have ever received from a reader was that she was glad that I expressed my emotions because as she put it she thought she was the only one who felt that way. Putting part of yourself out there for all the world makes your readers easier to identify with you. I love what I do and I love the fact that I can make a little extra money doing it but what I love even more are the amazing that I have gotten to know on this journey of blogging. So remember be patient, stay to yourself and the rewards will soon overshadow those first days that you struggled. Never give up.
