The After House A Creepy Read

Disclosure: I received an advanced reader copy in exchange for this review. All opinions expressed are 100% mine.

the after house

Imagine moving into a house who already has a resident- a ghost who does not take kindly to strangers invading their space. Sounds creepy and suspenseful right? Well The After House is just that. Once again I was thrilled to receive another book from Michael Phillip Cash to review.

Here is a brief summary of the book.

Remy Galway and her daughter Olivia are rebuilding their life after a failed marriage in a 300 year old cottage in historic Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island. Little do they know, another occupant is lurking in the haven of their own home? Will the After House be their shelter or their tomb?

To say that I loved this book would be an exaggeration. When I received this book, I immediately started to read this book. Cash is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I love that all of his books have ghosts who need to come to terms with something before they can leave the earthly realm. I guess one of the reasons I like these books so much is because they remind me a lot of one of my favorite television shows- Ghost Whisperer. Remember that show, Melinda was always trying to help someone crossover.

I love how the ghost in this book is looking for something they have lost. I also love how Cash allows us to not only know the characters in the present but also flashbacks so we get to know the ghosts and their lives as well.
