GP: 90’s Revival: Repeating Fashion Trends

 

One trend that has made an impressive and somewhat unexpected comeback are leg warmers. They were remarkably popular in both the 80’s and the 90’s and were considered to be the leading fashion accessory that cemented any intended look and could easily be worn in both a casual and formal setting. There sole purpose was to create a fun and adventurous look to an ensemble whilst providing some warmth to that part of the body.

 

Recently, neon has been a big trend. Bright and vibrant shades are the call for the season in any form possible, clothing, shoes and accessories. Neon has played a big part in the surge in popularity of dressing up and has been the perfect theme for all dress up purposes. Leg warmers are one of the best neon accessories and add perfectly to the intended theme of the look.

As well as the neon look, there are far more feminine and girly looks that are being favored this season. The call for skirts, shoes and leg warmers is a direct homage to past looks and is the ideal way to incorporate a girly look at any age that is ideal for any environment although possibly more suitable for outside of the working environment.

 

Fashion trends can be enjoyed either subtly or be fully embraced depending on how the trend would impact personal style. Leg warmers aren’t a particularly subtle fashion trend as they are a true focal point when they are worn for those that are currently fashion conscious and for those that remember the trend the first time around.
