It is officially December. And you know what that means? It is the start of my giving back series. Each day this month I will post either a way you can give back or profile organizations that give back. So check back every day to check out ways you can give back.  Since it is #ThrowbackThursday, I thought I would share a post that was written last year but still can apply to this year. I mean we all still have too many books that we don’t know what to do with. So sit back read how Little Free Libraries are popping up all over our country. Today, I am honored to have another dear friend posting on the blog. Cindi Pate has a heart of pure gold. Created from recycled materials and designed with children in mind, the book box is always stocked with a variety of books for all ages and reading levels on the – kid-friendly -bottom shelf. And not to worry, there are books and magazines for adults too – on the top shelf! Books are shared with the idea in mind to return the book or swap it with another book you bring.

  1. I’m always so happy whenever I see one of these little libraries! Literacy is such a worthy goal for communities to pursue, and these little free ones are especially important in communities that don’t have their own local library or have lesser access to books.

  2. I agree I end up donating all of my used books to her library. And now they are thinking of starting one at the farm as well so I am in there too.
