Dunkin’ Summer Menu Brings Back Fond Memories

So proud to be working with Dunkin’ to celebrate their summer products. 

Y’all there is nothing that I love better than a donut. My dad, who was a cop (in fact he was the Chief of Police, insert all jokes about cops and donut shops here. 😉 ), used to work a lot of night shifts. So whenever he had to process paperwork or pick up items from the Sheriff’s office, he would always go by at night and get a dozen donuts to bring home. I can remember waking up and running to the kitchen to see what kind he would bring? It was never the same donut twice except for his – He loved the old fashioned donuts. 

And I will admit that I loved them as well. Just a plain donut, that wasn’t anything special but oh so good with hot chocolate, milk or coffee. I mean you couldn’t go without Dunkin’ it. I can still remember how my dad would get the butter out and frost that old fashioned donut with butter. Talk about some kind of good. 

Now that you know all that you can imagine how nostalgic I felt when I walked into Dunkin’ Donuts to get a first-hand look and taste of their new summer menu. So many memories came flooding back and I almost could feel my dad there with me telling me to get the old fashion donut. 

For this adventure in tasting, I brought along my sidekick for the summer, Gracie, my youngest. And let me tell you we had an amazing time tasting all those delicious treats. Do you know that Dunkin’ Donuts is more than just donuts, it is an experience? Out of all the coffees that my middle daughter has tasted Dunkin’ is by far her favorite. In fact, she called me crying one night because she had spilled her almost full cup of Dunkin’ coffee all over her bathroom floor. 

Ok so know that you know that, here is a list of the new items that Dunkin’ has to offer. First up is their new Hershey’s Cookies N’ Creme Donut. This isn’t like any other donut out there. First of all, it is square-shaped. And second, it filled with vanilla-flavored buttercream and topped with crumbles. 

And if Cookies N’ Creme is your favorite flavor, why not wash that donut down with their Cookies N’ Creme flavored coffee. Yep, this flavor comes in hot or cold coffee, espresso drinks, frozen coffee, and frozen chocolate. Because let’s face it, I don’t know where you are but here in North Carolina it is blazing hot, so you need a cool drink to cool you off just a little bit. 

If Cookies N’ Creme isn’t your flavor, there are other items you can try. Like the Heath Flavored Coffee which is a mix of milk chocolate and English Toffee. 

If coffee isn’t your thing, you can always try the Kit Kat Coolatte. This is a frozen drink that has a vanilla bean flavor mixed with pieces of a Kit Kat bar. ( A piece of advice: This drink comes out really thick so make sure you grab a spoon until it unthaws a little bit.)

And if sweet drinks aren’t your thing, you can always cool down with a refreshing glass of either Iced Tea Lemonade or Frozen Lemonade.
