I am part of the Busch Gardens Thrill Chaser Blogger program and attended opening day yesterday. I will write about my experience later in the week. The Williamsburg theme park brings holiday traditions to life with delicious dining and festive shopping experiences. Visitors can stroll beneath the glow of eight-million twinkling lights, see penguins up-close and get in the holiday spirit with an all-new musical production. Scrooge No More! ™, presented at the park’s Globe Theatre, is Busch Gardens’ newest live musical production. The performance tells the story of Scrooge as he is swept away by the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future. Along the way, Scrooge learns the importance of family and friends being together at Christmas.
In the spirit of giving this holiday season, guests are invited to bring an unwrapped toy to the park Nov. 21 through Dec. 14. All toy donations support the Hampton Roads Toys for Tots chapter so local families can have gifts to unwrap onChristmas day. Busch Gardens’ Welcome Center near the park’s front entrance will serve as the park’s official toy drop-off location. In the spirit of season, Busch Gardens will donate $5,000 in toys to the Toys for Tots toy drive. “Together, Busch Gardens and Toys for Tots are helping local families celebrate the season of giving by providing toys for children to open on Christmas morning,” said Park President Carl Lum. Guests can create their own Christmas Town holiday traditions with a $32 Christmas Town Fun Card that offers unlimited admission for the 2014 Christmas season. Active annual pass members can purchase a Christmas Town pass for $25 and receive unlimited admission to Christmas Town for the 2014 season along with regular pass member benefits like free parking and discounts on park purchases.
