Celebrate Being a Dog Dad This Father's Day

Are you a dog dad? Are you someone who puts in the work for their fur babies in the same way, any other dad does? Do you raise your pups with the same hopes and aspirations for their lives as any kind of father would? Hey, you might think this sounds silly, but at the end of the day. You can be a father to anybody. So why not let it be to your lovable special little guy? So in the spirit of the season, after seeing a thousand lists of gifts for dad. I decided to make my own! Only this time, it’s for the pup pops in your life!

A Little Swing

Does this ever happen to you? You have a medium to a large-sized dog, and they just cannot stop running. And when I say running, I mean they GO, and they GO FAR. If they didn’t love you so much, you couldn’t be sure they’d ever come back! A dog like that needs a fair bit of exercise! And one of the very best ways to do that? A good old-fashioned game of catch! So you grab the tennis ball and throw it as far as the horizon. Your furry friend bolts to the ball. He brings it back in the blink of an eye. You grab the ball. You wind up, and you launch and…The same thing happens. You launch again. Same thing. Except for when he brings the ball back, that throw gets shorter and shorter. You keep pitching as you start to notice a twinge in your shoulder. It’s getting harder and harder to throw until finally. You just can’t make the swing anymore. You’re exhausted, but your dog? He’s still ready for another 20! What are you to do? Well, it’s my suggestion you get a dog ball launcher! These are amazing little devices that help you grab some distance for your dog while minimizing the strain on your arm! And best of all! They come in various sizes and colors that will fit almost any situation! If you’re looking to get your dog a little more exercise, this is a great tool in the shed!

A Shop Bed

Do you like to work with your hands? Are you one of those people who are capable of fixing or crafting just about anything? Do you have a little space in your garage or guest house that you call the shop? Well, then this is the entry for you! Has your pup ever wanted to hang while you’re working, but bless his heart; he just keeps getting in the way? Well, that’s okay! Because all your boy needs is a little space of his own. How do you accomplish this, you ask? Well, it’s simple you just get him his very own dog bed! Even if he already has a bed. An extra one in the shop is a great way to make your dog feel included. This gives him the space to hang out and feel connected with you while simultaneously allowing you to finish your projects! Now I call that a win/win!

A Puppy Pack!

This next entry is for the avid cyclists in our group! Do you have a smaller dog? One that loves to go on walks, but his little legs just can’t go that far? Then it’s time for you to consider a doggy pack! What is a doggy pack? Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like! It’s a way to carry your dog in a little pack, so he can stay snug as a bug while you get your exercise in! This is especially perfect for cyclists who enjoy long rides. Now you can bring your best friend along too! Just don’t forget, if you’re going to be going far and fast. Your little buddy is going to need some eye protection! Getting a pair of goggles specially designed for your dog is the safest and best option you can choose to avoid any unwanted accidents!

When you’re raising a dog, it’s a lot like raising a child. There’s pain and heartache and you’ll need more than a little patience. There will be times when you’ll be frustrated to no end. Times when you feel like you’re the worst dog owner in the world. But all that anxiety sheds immediately when you see the face of your darling little boy smiling right back at you. This is a being brought into bloom by your love and attention. This is something that depends on you, and you cherish this responsibility. At first, it may have a strange flavor. But in time you realize there is nothing sweeter in life than this.
