Biting the Bullet- Well Maybe???
Okay I have heard so many bloggers say that it is better for you to have your own domain name without the blogspot in the URL. I was awarded a free web hosting for a year from go.daddy.com and I am trying to figure a few things out. To say the least I feel proverbial lost in a giant field. My question to you my loyal followers and fellow bloggers- How easy is it to switch over?? How much does your google rank and Alexa rank go down when you make the switch to your own domain?? Is it worth it? I don’t want to lose all the work I have put into this blog now that I finally have companies contacting me for reviews and giveaways?? Also another question do you have to go into every site you use as far as being an affiliate and manually change your URL ?? In the words of Scooby Doo I say Yelp!!!!!

I always hear that it is better to be self-hosted than to have a blogspot.com URL. However, I'm too cheap to pay for something that doesn't bring me much money in. So, I opt for blogspot.com. I do know that Blogalina will transfer you over, or offers a DIY to transfer yourself. I'm going to stick with blogspot.com since I have seen successful bloggers who still have blogspot.com adresses.
