Are You Vintage?

I love vintage items. I look to shop for them give them new purposes allowing my creativity to take hold. Repurposing items are just one way that can allow you to be unique and thrifty at the same time. My favorite items are vintage clothing. There is something to be said for clothes that do not go out of style. You can make anything modern vintage again by using one vintage piece to make that modern look vintage again. I remember when I was in high school; leggings and big shirts were all the rage. Now if you pick a fashion magazine that is all you see. Getting the vintage look does not have to mean spending a ton of money if you know what to look for and where to look. You can look around your local department stores to see if there are items that you can use to pull your look together. One accessory can go a long way into making your look vintage. Also check out your local consignment shops, second hand stores and thrift shops because there are always vintage clothing just waiting to be grabbed you just need to know what to look for. The vintage look does not mean that you have to look like your grandma (unless that is the style you are going for) you just have to make it your own.
