All Mascara is Not Created Equal

I received a complimentary copy in exchange for this review. However, that does not change the fact that I absolutely loved this book.

How often have you thought wow that person’s eyes are really popping, wonder what type of mascara they are using? I know I have, but the title of a book by Jessica Landmon is just like that . Yes the book is called All Mascara is Not Created Equal but it not about mascara, not at all. It is more about how we look at things and how sometimes the way we chose to look at things can change our view of the world. Here is a brief summary of the book.

The world is marketing lifestyles that contradict the way God has called us to love. Lying, selfishness and justification of all types of sin are just a few lessons our youth are being sold. All Mascara Is Not Created Equal is an attempt to reach the hearts of young women, providing spiritual, practical, and humorous tips in short. “tweet-like” form to help them live the life that God would approve of.

Let me just say that I love this book. It was just so cute and such an easy way to get through to teenage girls. As I will soon have 3 teenage girls in my house, even if it is only until my oldest turns 20 in September, I can see the benefits of this book. I loved all the sayings in the book, but if I had to pick one favorite quote it would be

[Tweet “There isn’t too much that prayer & a glue gun can’t fix.”]

How awesome is this quote? I love that this book was written by a mom so she could talk to her daughter. I so can see this as a birthday present, graduation present, or even to put it into an Easter basket for my daughters. If you are looking for an awesome and cute book to share with your daughters or a teenage girl in your life check out All Mascara Is Not Created Equal
