A Day in My Life as a Solopreneur (And Yes, I Walk to the Blog Cabin—Because, Hello, No Bathroom!)

Some people commute across town to an office. Me? I throw on my comfiest shoes, leash up the pups, and make the short (but necessary) walk from my house to the Blog Cabin—because let’s be honest, it might be my creative haven, but it still doesn’t have a bathroom. ?

So yes, there’s a lot of back and forth. Bathroom breaks? Back to the house. Snack break? Back to the house. Forgot my coffee? You guessed it—back again. It’s basically my built-in step count.

But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

As a solopreneur, I do it all. I’m the content creator, editor, social media manager, graphic designer, brand strategist, inbox tamer, and yes—even the one who remembers to feed the dogs mid-project. No team. No assistant. Just me, my to-do list, and the occasional encouragement from Allie and Gigi (who double as emotional support and security detail). ?

There are days it’s chaotic, where nothing goes according to plan. And others where I’m flowing in creativity and purpose. Either way, this little walk to the Blog Cabin is my daily reminder of how far I’ve come. From dreaming in my living room to building a brand with heart, grit, and a lot of hustle.

And if you’re out there chasing your own dream, remember this: it doesn’t have to be perfect. Just consistent. And sometimes, that consistency looks like walking back and forth 10 times a day because your office doesn’t have plumbing. ?

Keep showing up. Keep building. Keep walking (literally and figuratively).
