The athleisure trend is growing rapidly and it seems everyone is loving these stylish but comfy outfits, including celebrities.

Activewear has become popular for numerous reasons. Not only does it motivate you to hit the gym and help you feel chic and sexy whilst working out, but it also makes it easy to go from the gym to the street, without requiring you to overhaul your look.

Celebs rocking activewear

As with all fashion trends, celebs are key influencers when it comes to which brands to buy from. Many celebrities such as Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Anne Hathaway are regularly spotted in activewear.

Whether they’re on their way to the gym, a friend’s house, or to the shops is anyone’s guess, but what this does show is that gym clothes are the outfits to be seen in right now.

Celebrity endorsement has become an increasingly prominent part of branding over the years, so naturally, activewear brands have been keen to get celebrities rocking their creations, adding to the mass of athleisure wearing celebs driving around LA.

Celebrity-backed Athleisure brands

We’re not only seeing celebs wearing and endorsing this new style, but stars such as Kate Hudson have actually created activewear lines of their own.

Thanks to this celebrity interest, athleisure brands such as Fabletics offer you the opportunity to don gym apparel that is not just endorsed by celebs but designed by them too.

Fabletics by Kate Hudson

In 2013, actress Kate Hudson co-launched the fitness clothing brand Fabletics. Kate and her co-founders saw how there were plenty of luxury athleisure brands, but none that offered high-quality gear at an accessible price point and were inspired to fill this gap in the market.

Kate is very involved in the company. Each month, she shares her favorite Fabletics outfits, so fans can own Kate approved gym apparel for an affordable price tag. Fabletics create clothing that inspires you to stay active, whatever that may mean to you, appealing to men and women from all walks of life. Fabletics’ passion for accessibility and inclusion is one of the reasons for their rapidly growing success.

Celeb collaborations

Kate Hudson is not the only celebrity involved with Fabletics. In 2017, the gym apparel company launched its first-ever collaboration, with pop star Demi Lovato. R&B singer Kelly Rowland has also collaborated with the brand three times now, with her latest winter collection line released early this year.

In 2018, Kate also collaborated with her mum Goldie Hawn, the founder of MindUP, a nonprofit that benefits mental health initiatives for young people in schools. Talking about the family collaboration Hudson said “I just wanted to bring some insight into what my mom is doing and [use] our platform to share that.”

Fabletics is just one of a handful of celebrity activewear brands. With the wellness industry booming and the athleisure trend on the rise, expect to see many more celebrities sporting, endorsing, and designing gym apparel of their own.
