Wine Tasting Great Date
Recently I have been taking advantage of Groupon and Living Social deals to help with planning our date nights. The first date that Raul and I officially went on was to a local winery, Hinnant Vineyards in purchasing this deal I received Wine Tasting for Two, Vineyard Tour, Two Glasses of “Wine-a-Rita” (which were amazing), Two Meat and Cheese Plates, Bottle of Wine, a Corkscrew, and an Insulated Lunch Box . The voucher said to call and make a reservation. So I called I had originally planned on using this for our anniversary in April but they were so booked because the deal was only available on Sundays that it was not until Memorial Day Weekend that we got to use it. The winery is beautiful.
The sign as we entered onto the winery grounds.
The grapevines off to the side of the main building where the tastings are held. It is beautiful to see grapes as far as your eyes can see.
This is the front of the winery showroom. It looks like a house. There are chairs all around for you to sit at and relax and enjoy your wine.
We did our wine tasting on the back patio. There was a bar set up back there and tasting was done 6 people at a time. Then we were able to try their “slushies.” For those of you who don’t know what they are. It is a Wine-a-Rita. What is that you ask basically it is wine mixed with one of their special mixes to make it look like a frozen margarita. We sat on the back patio that looked at over the vineyard and drank our slushies and enjoy our meat and cheese trays. This is the view from the patio.
Beautiful isn’t it? It was so peaceful. They even had live music that day.
Here Raul is enjoying his slushie. He was tasting the strawberry one.
Here are both of our slushies together. The green one is the traditional margarita flavor.
This was an amazing date night. The only thing is that wished that I had asked someone to take a picture of Raul and I together. But oh well that gives me an excuse to go back. I also found out that they do wine tastings everyday so I ended up going back with one of my friends this past weekend. So not only is it a great date opportunity but also for a girl’s outing as well.
The staff there is amazing. They give true meaning to the world southern hospitality.
I love it so much that we plan on going back yet again.
