8 Ways to Say Thank You to the Teacher in Your Life
Thank you! Two simple words in our society that seems to go unused most of the time. Two simple words when put together made a powerful statement. It shows the person receiving it that their hard work, thoughtfulness, and actions are not going unnoticed.
Everyone deserves to be thanked. Whether it is a wave when you let someone in front of you in traffic, a smile and thank you when you hold the door open for someone or even let them go in front of you in line. Being a former teacher, I am focusing on how you can thank a teacher. Many people have the misconception that teachers begin their days when students are to school and end their days when students leave. But that is so wrong. Many times teachers sacrifice time with their family to make sure that the children that are entrusted into their care got the proper education. When I was teaching I liked to arrive way before the time to prepare myself for the day and leave about an hour after the kids so I could prepare my classroom for the next day. And don’t get me started on lesson plannings. Remember I said was extra when I plan gatherings, well I was just that extra when it came to lesson planning. And when I would get a big thank you from my students and their parents, it just made me want to work harder.
