Imagine if you will reading a book that is story of two couples who lives are forever changed by unfortunate circumstances. And that the person you married is not who you think they are?  Well in The Fairytale Mother by Heather Muzik. That is the case. Here is brief summary of the book.

Summer Reading List: The Fairytale Mother from North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger Adventures of Frugal Mom

Once upon a time two lives intertwined…

A broken heart.

When Andrew Krenshaw’s wife goes missing, terror becomes desperation as he is forced to cope with a world of uncertainty where he has suddenly become a single father, an unfortunate celebrity… a potential murderer.

A hopeful heart.

Melanie Tull has everything she ever wanted in her life… except perhaps love. Her husband is absent and demanding all at once. Her home, a shell of perfection with a cold center. Her life, busy yet vacant.

… Herein lies the tale that binds them.

This story sounds interesting doesn’t it. I have to admit that book I probably would not have read if I wasn’t given copy of it, but I am glad that I had the chance to read this story. I have to admit that I could identify with both of the wives in the story. Corinne is a mom who never sees her husband and feels overwhelmed with the fact that in a sense she is a single mom of two young daughters. I admit there are times even now that I feel this way because I too have a workacoholic husband. Melanie wants her husband to love her and not control her. She wants to those little things that every woman wants to be cherished and appreciated. In a sense, she too is a single mom because when her husband is home he is not engaged with the family most of the time. The only time that he does engage with the family is when it is bedtime for the children. He tells them the most amazing stories about Princess Elsa.

Like I said I can identify with both of this women. I sometimes feel like I am the only responsible adult in the house. There are so many times that I have wanted to say to my husband, you take the kids for awhile. And don’t get me wrong most of the time he does but it is the times when I am at my wit’s end are those times he is at work. UGH right.

I loved this book. The outcome of the book was amazing but the ending was like what. How could Muzik keep the reader hanging like that? LOL I even sent her a tweet on twitter saying I hope there is a sequel to the book because this is one sequel I will have on my most read list. LOL

You can buy the book Kindle / Paperback /B&N (coming August 8th).  The Kindle price is $3.99 {Free if you are a prime member} The paperback is $10.05 and it is stock. Still at this price I consider this book a bargain must read.
