Recipe For a Happy Holiday Season
Now it is the time of year for company to visit, whether the company was invited or just a drop in here is a recipe for successful visits with family and friends. I saw this recipe in a magazine and I just knew I had to share it with you.
Blend together a generous batch of family and friends
Peel off their coats so they feel more at home.
Pat their hands
Pinch their cheeks, but not too hard.
Fold them tightly in your arms for a great big old hug.
Marinate in 3 cups of love and attention. Catch up on all the news.
Tell 1 pound of jokes until all are dissolved into giggles.
Let the little ones beat you at games with dice, and be sure to stir 2 cups of silliness into the mix.
Sing. Dance. Toss balloons. Snap photos because you are going to want to remember these times.
Garnish with extra kisses because who know when you will see them again.
Then when it is time to dine
Simmer down and gather ’round for a meal of family favorites.
Add dollops of good conversation and a heaping spoon of laughter.
Yield: Hearty Servings for all who visit you.
