Patriotic Berry Tarts

Happy 4th of July weekend!!! Here is a fun fact about me, I was supposed to be born on July 4th but just like my girls, I was born 2 weeks later.  Yep, I am celebrating my birthday this month. Do you have plans for the 4th? We are planning to have a few friends and family over for a cookout. And these berry tarts will be the highlight of the event.

Patriotic Berry Tarts

INGREDIENTS

Tart Ingredients

  • 1 package mini phyllo shells
  • 4 oz frozen whipped topping
  • 4 oz Philadelphia Cream Cheese – strawberry flavor
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • Strawberries
  • Raspberries
  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries

DIRECTIONS

  •  Place phyllo shells on a cookie sheet and heat in the oven according to package directions.
  •  Let cool on a cookie sheet while you prepare the filling.

Tart Process 1

  •  In a medium mixing bowl, add the cream cheese and whipped topping. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed for about 1 minute.

Tart Process 2

  •  Add the powdered sugar and mix on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  •  Place filling in a pastry bag or Ziploc bag with the corner snipped off.
  •  Sprinkle phyllo cups with powdered sugar.

Tart Process 3

  •  Pipe the filling into each cup.

Tarts Process 4

  •  Top each pastry cup with your choice/combination  of berries.
  •  Sprinkle with more powdered sugar.
  •  ENJOY!!
