If I have learned one thing from having two girls in college that coffee is a must have. They both often fix coffee and take it with them to class. They absolutely love the coffee tumblers, so when I saw these DIY Travel Mugs at Oriental Trading, I knew that I had to get them.

Plus they also gave me an opportunity to create one of a kind travel mugs for each one of my girls as well as for their boyfriends. So one evening, my girls and I sat down to do just that. They were so easy to make and required very little materials.

Yep, it was that easy. I will have to say that my favorite one was the owl one I made for Maddie’s boyfriend, Lex. (Don’t let the secret out, it is a Christmas present). Mikaela and  Lyman had a great time making one for each other. Although Lyman did have a little bit more trouble than we did as he is lefthander.  Here are the finished designs. This one is the first one I made. I used strips of each of the Washi Tape I had to create it.

I think it turned out pretty especially since it was my first one. Gracie made one for tea instead of coffee. She is my tea lover in the family.

I think it turned out cute. And of course, here is my favorite one.

I put take a break on it because if you know Lex, you see he never takes a break. He is always working or studying. And of course, Mikaela and Lyman had to be funny with theirs.

This was such a fun and easy project to make. And I love that it created a one of a kind present for pennies. By the way, the stickers and some of Washi Tape I picked up at the Dollar Tree.
