Magnets instead of Buttons?

My husband works with his hands a lot. He is a mechanic by trade so you can imagine how one little injury to wreak havoc on our bottom line aka the paycheck. He has recently started having problems with the thumb on his left hand. So when he is not working he puts a brace on it and stabilizes and rests it as much as possible. 

But rest is not always easy, especially when most of the shirts he wears are button-up shirts. His uniform shirts have buttons, his everyday day shirts – yep buttons again and then you start thinking about the buttons on pants and zippers. So you can imagine how getting dressed in the morning can be a little more comfortable to do. 

Because of his constant use of his hands, I tried to find ways to help alleviate his discomfort. One of the things I did was buy the brace I mentioned above. 

I also found a really cool clothing line called MagnaReady that look like regular shirts but with one cool difference. Their clothing is magnetically infused. What does that mean exactly? The buttons are magnets. So instead of buttoning his shirt, he just has to get the magnets together and viola, the shirt looks buttoned. 

I mean honestly isn’t that so cool. They not only help speed up the process of getting dressed but also help with alleviating the pain that comes with overuse. Not only do they have a men’s line but they also carry a women’s line and a mini-me line- perfect for everyone in the family. 

I was totally impressed with the shirt and also the fact that you couldn’t tell that the buttons weren’t real. I mean just look at my husband in his shirt? Doesn’t he look hot? 😉 

And the cool thing about this shirt is that it looks just like an ordinary everyday shirt.
