Lonestar Angel is an awesome work of Christian fiction. In the beginning of this book written by Colleen Coble- the main characters, Eden and Clay, have been through a lot. Five years before the story starts Eden and Clay are married and have a child , Brianna. Brianna was only a few months old when she was kidnapped and they think she has drowned. Now pick up the story five years later and Eden thinking she is divorced is about to accept a marriage proposal from another man when Clay appears. He tells her that they are not divorced because he never signed the papers. As if that news wasn’t shocking enough, Clay then tells her that their daughter is alive. He believes she is at a camp in Texas. He asks for her help in the search for their daughter and she agrees. They have to find which of the girls at this camp is their daughter.
Will they find their long lost daughter? Will they realize that they are still in love with each other? Will searching for their daughter make them realize that they belong together. To answer these questions, read Lonestar Angel.
I loved loved loved this book. The twists and turns of the plot kept me guessing as to who their daughter really was. I thought this was an unique way to portray a kidnap/mystery plot. If you want a book to read that is a page turner and keeps you guessing than this is the book for you.
