LapDesk Made Personal

AFM Lap 2

I recently partnered with Wholeport to get my creative juices going. Each month I am able to pick out what I want to receive in my sample pack. Sometimes I just pick out something because it catches my eye hoping that I will be inspired when the sample pack comes in. This was the case with this month’s sample pack. I received several cute fabric samples. And once I got my hands on those the creative juices started flowing. I have already created two craft projects with these samples. I still have several more in mind to do.

For today’s project I am going to show you how you can make your lapdesk a little more personal. I have found that I blog better when I blog on the go but sometimes my lap is not the steadiest thing to blog from. So I wanted a lap desk. I was able to purchase one with some Amazon credits but it was very plain. So I used the fabric I got from Wholeport to make it more personal.

I used everything in the picture to create a unique lap desk. I cut an oval shaped out of the checkered pattern and used the Modge Podge to attach the little girl onto it. Then I applied the Modge Podge to the back of the checkered pattern and placed it on the lap desk. Then I went over the whole thing with another coat of Modge Podge. Results is a really cute lap desk. What do you think?

This project took so little time but left me feeling renewed and relaxed. I love when that happens.
