How I spent my Sunday Frugally

Today was a day  I was looking forward to all week. I was going shopping at my favorite store. But before I get into that, let me tell you how my day started. The 1st thing was a free breakfast. My husband’s cousin came over and bought us all breakfast from McDonald’s. That was one meal that I didn’t have to cook or use any of our food. Then my husband and I left for my shopping trip. We drove to another town town- where my favorite store is located. My favorite store is DOTS. Check in your town and see if you have one, it is well worth it. I got a sweater dress, a pair of pants, a black shirt, a brown sweater and a grey sweater with a belt. I also got 2 necklaces and a bracelet. Guess how much I paid for them??? If I would have paid full )price for all the items I would have paid $108.56 including tax. But Guess what I didn’t!!!!!!! I shopped the clearance rack and I used coupons. First I had a $10 gift card I had received from them back in December when my husband took me Christmas shopping for my presents. (Yea he is original like that). Then I signed up to receive emails from them they always send out awesome coupons for different dollar amount. I used the $15 off of $50 coupon today. Before the coupons the total was $77.58 for a difference of  $30.98. But then I used my $10 gc and my $15 coupon and ended up paying $50.64 for all this.

Then we came home and got the girls and his cousin and went to our favorite Mexican restaurant. Guess how much that cost us $7.64 for 5 of us. How did we do that why we used a $50 gift certificate that we had gotten for Christmas. See it pays to be frugal- in fact we were able to bring leftovers home for lunch tomorrow. Then my parents came by. They always eat at the Mayflower Seafood Restaurant on Sundays and we get their leftovers. So there was our dinner LOL. Shrimp , Fish, Hushpuppies and French Fries. Yum . All in all it was Frugal day. How frugal were you today??? I would love to hear about it??
