How Are Lip Stain And Lipstick Different from North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger Adventures of Frugal Mom

As a female that is coming into her own, it is highly likely to assume that you have already started experimenting around with dresses and makeup accessories. Heck, the truth of the matter is that most women are still experimenting with these cosmetic products. And, this is because there are just so many of them out there. There are different colors, different brands, and different models for different applications. Needless to say, there are almost endless limited possibilities when it comes to makeup. This is especially true when you start looking a lip coverage. Amongst the many choices, two of the most popular are lip stain and lipstick. If you want to get the most from either it will be pertinent to understand the key difference between them and how they can be applied in different scenarios.

Alcohol Content

When most women are checking out cosmetic products they like to look at the ingredient list. This is really smart because you never know what a product could contain. There might even be a chance when you run into some products that contain ingredients that you are allergic to. It goes without saying that you will want to avoid these at all costs. That being said, if you are looking at the back of the lip stain, you will discover that it contains traces of alcohol. Why is this important? It means that you will have very little time to work with. Alcohol is a drying agent and it will cause the product to set and harden. If you don’t have it applied to the right area or in the right manner in the correct amount of time, you might be stuck with less than undesirable results.

Available In Several Formulas

You will also notice right away that lip stain is much less viscous than lipstick. This simply means that the manufacturers can play around a bit when it comes to lip stains. And, this is why lip stain comes available in a wide variety of formulas like roll-on, gel with sponge tips, or marker-like color-infused tips. Unfortunately, lipstick doesn’t come available in this many formulas because it is much more viscous.

The Different Color Options

Lip stains are great and many women prefer them to lipstick, but there is one major problem with them. They don’t come available in as many color choices. This is because lip stains are specifically designed to enhance natural tones. These products usually only come available in reds, pinks, and peach hues. And, you will also see them marketed with names like liquid lip stain for translucence pout. This is not the case at all with lipsticks. Lipsticks come available in a wide variety of colors. In fact, you will find just a color for any occasion.

Lipsticks Keep Lips Moist

When perusing the ingredient on lipstick, you will discover that they contain a lot of waxes and oils. These ingredients are used to help moisten the lips, whereas lip stain will the opposite effect because it contains alcohol.
