Holiday Gift Guide : The First Christmas Night

As a little kid, I would love to hear my dad read me the poem ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas. It was my favorite story and it is still now that I am older. But now I have another new favorite, The First Christmas Night, is going to become a new tradition in our house. Written with the same lyrical telling of ‘Twas, The First Christmas takes young readers on a journey that fateful night when Jesus was born.

As a teacher, I can see how this will help children to match up rhyming words. It would be an awesome book to use in homeschooling and children ministries. You could even sing it if you felt like it. It would also be great to include in family story times during the holidays because it also includes the actual Biblical passages in the back. This book is beautifully written and illustrated that will be sure to catch the attention of young children who the story is going to be read too.

This book would be great for any 4 to 8 years old on your holiday shopping list. You could also buy it for anyone who homeschools or who is involved in ministry in some form.
