Shoes and more shoes! If you are a fan of shoes than this cute book that was originally started as by two sisters as a present for their younger sister is sure to entertain. But even if you are not a shoe lover, I still think this book will appeal to you. I loved this book. As a teacher, I was also excited that there were lesson plans to use with this book. Here is a just a brief summary of the book.

Written and illustrated by sisters Brenda Finne and Joyce Fishman, the collection of short stories looks at shoes and the places they can take us. Stories in their first release include Shoe Garden where shoes grow by twos, When Shoes Fly, Shoe Dreams, and Butterfly Shoes, all taking readers on soaring adventures.

This book would be a great gift for any shoe lovers of all ages. The book is beautifully illustrated and written. I loved how the authors point out that every shoe is unique but they all work together to serve a purpose. Here are the main ideas of these wonderfully written short stories. It encourages people to share their Shoetitude- asking the questions what do your shoes say about you. Another idea is that it is all about the journey you take in life- where will your shoes take you? And lastly, how digital books appeal to children. I mean how many of us are getting are kids ereaders for Christmas.

I also love that this book was written by two sisters for their younger sister, Ivy. It reminded me of my three girls and how I hope one day they will work together to create something for each other. This book is the first in a collection. More books in the Shoe Banter Collection will follow, with the next book reaching out to an adult audience. Discover your Shoetitude at Shoe Banter.
