Experience Pizza in a Whole New Way at Brixx Pizza
Disclosure: My friend Laura and I were treated to a meal at Brixx Pizza. The awesome experience we had there is all ours.
It is not often with all the craziest going on with the Quinceanera planning, do I get a chance to escape. But on one Sunday afternoon, that is exactly what I did with one of my besties, Laura.
We traveled to Cary. You know the town I wished I lived in if it wasn’t for all the traffic, to try out Brixx Pizza. I will admit I had heard about this pizza place at the Carolina Railhawks (now North Carolina FC) games and always wanted to try them out.
So we made the trip to have a girls day out. Don’t you love it when you can get together with friends? The Brixx location we went to was a new location at Bradford Shops that had just opened in Cary. From the moment, we walked in the door, we felt at home. The staff was friendly and we felt like royalty.
There were so many great choices on the menu that it was really hard to decide on what to get. Since we both were hungry or hangry as Laura calls it, we decided to start with an appetizer. We got the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. But I need to go back and try the hummus trio because that looked good.
Here is a quick fact about me. When I was growing up, I hated spinach. Just the thought of eating it would send me into a temper tantrum. But after I had some spinach and artichoke dip at a party, I can’t get enough of it.
Since we wanted the total tasting experience, Laura and I decided to each get a pizza.
I got the Hawaiian pizza. It had prosciutto, fresh pineapple, mozzarella, and cilantro. Pineapple and cilantro are two of my favorite things. So when I saw that they were paired together, I had to go for it. I had never had cilantro on a pizza before. But now I can’t even think of eating a piece of pizza without putting some on it.
Laura opted for their gluten-free version of pepperoni pizza. She said it was the best gluten-free pizza she had ever tasted.
Oh did I forget to mention, that when they bring out your pizza, they also bring out some extra cheese in a grinder? Just in case, you would like extra cheese on your pizza.
Even though we were full from the pizza, we opted for dessert. The Salted Caramel Crunch Cookie Pie is totally to die for! It is a giant cookie with chunks of white chocolate and toffee with mini pretzels.
Talk about Yummy!! I totally died and went to Heaven on this one. I will have to say that Brixx’s Pizza in Cary will definitely be a place that would go back and eat again. And I think Laura would agree as well, I mean just look at this picture.
