Art at It’s Best at #NC Museum Of Art
Recently we took a day trip to the North Carolina Museum of Art in Raleigh. I had an interview set up for another post idea and thought why not make a day of it in Raleigh by going to the Museum of Art. We arrived at the museum a little after 12 and greeted by wonderful volunteers who staff the information desk. We have gone to the museum before and I was little upset that my favorite piece of art work the Mona Lisa made out of spools was no longer on display.
I will have to say that this museum is on of my favorite to go to. The exhibits are inside as well as outside so you can make a day of it. They have walking / running trails as well as places for outdoor picnics. There are some exhibits that you to pay for but entrance into the museum is free. How cool is that?
We met one of my good friends and her son at the museum. We had a great time walking around looking at all the paintings, sculptures, and works of art. I love how it is a go at your own pace museum. You do not feel like you have to rush to get everything in.
My girls love this museum. There are so many interesting things to see and do. Look at the amazing pictures that we took.
How about a sculpture made entirely of buttons??
Their beautiful reflecting pond that is surrounded by sculptures.
This is another example of the outside art work. Vollis Simpson also created the sculptures at Acid Park.
I thought this was the most beautiful piece of art in the whole museum. Love my girls.
