1 in 10 Girls Born Today Will Live to Reach 100
According to a recent infographic released by the University of Southern California, 1 in 10 girls born today will live to reach the age 100. Although the stats aren’t quite as good for boys, it is believed that 1 in 20 boys will reach a centennial age as well. This information comes from an infographic looking into life expectancy in America.
The same study found that the elderly people of today are living longer. In fact, they’re living much longer than they were just 50 years ago. Some of the things that have contributed to this are better health care, better finances, and better social security benefits. More statistics are available in the infographic below.

The ‘Americans are Living Longer’ infographic was created by the master in gerontology department at the University of Southern California. The University provides online degrees that cover the topic in more detail.
