Bless Your Heart A Southern Banana Pudding Dip

Bless Your Heart A Southern Banana Pudding Dip from North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger Adventures of Frugal Mom

Yesterday I shared with you, my Keep Pounding, Carolina Panthers BBQ Chicken Dip and I told you that I would share with you My Bless Your Heart, Southern Banana Pudding Dip. Well, child, I hope you remembered to exercise today because this dip will put pounds on you just by reading the recipe. ( Not really but it is that yummy, that I think I gained, at least, a pound by making it.) Hi, my name is Melissa and I love to lick a mixing bowl. 🙂

So the first thing you need to do is gather your ingredients.

  • 2 ( 8oz) blocks of cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
  • 14 oz can of sweeten condensed milk
  • 1 cup of cool whip
  • 1 package of instant banana cream pudding
  • Milk amount according to instant pudding directions
  • 2 bananas
  • 1 box of mini vanilla wafers

Got all that stuff together then let’s get started.

  • In a bowl prepare the instant pudding according to the instructions on the package.
  • In a large bowl beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until combined. ( In my case, getting my hands dirty because of my love-hate relationship with cream cheese.)
  • Slowly mix in the sweetened condensed milk.
  • Mix the pudding into the cream cheese, sugar and condensed milk mixture.
  • Next mix the cool whip in.
  • On a plate mash the bananas. I cut them into pieces and then mashed them. {Insert funny story here, I was using my potato masher to mash the bananas, and the darn thing came off the handle. Guess I will be needing a new potato masher because there is no fixing this one!!! }
  • Mix the mashed bananas in.
  • Chill for an hour and then sprinkle the top with crushed vanilla wafers before serving.
  • Serve with Vanilla Wafers.
