Scottsdale is the capital of Arizona—a beautiful desert city that attracts tourists with its great landscape nearby and a variety of fun activities. It’s growing in popularity as a tourist destination, especially in the winter months. If you’re looking to get out of the snow for a little while, here are some fun things happening in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Barrett-Jackson Car Auction

The Barrett-Jackson Car Auction, running from January 11-19, is an exciting event to check out during your next trip to Scottsdale. It auctions some of the most exotic world-class cars you’ll ever see. The car auction began between Russ Jackson and Tom Barrett, who began to collect and auction cars in the 1960s. Some amazing vehicles have appeared at the Barrett-Jackson auction, including the 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake, which sold for $1 million. The Auction has since expanded to Palm Beach, Florida, Las Vegas, and Mohegan Sun, Connecticut. 

Golf breaks: Waste Management Phoenix Open 2020

If you’re a golf enthusiast, you’re in luck. The Waste Management Phoenix Open takes place from January 27 to February 2. If you’re a 90s rock and roll fan, you’ll have some extra motivation as there will be a concert headlined by the Gin Blossoms at the finish line in Tempe Beach Park.
