Writing in a journal every day encourages your child to stop and think about the activities they have undertaken during the day. This makes them dwell on them and helps them to identify the things they really enjoy. Walking On Thin Ice

This is a great technique for making your child more aware of their own body movements and how these affect those around them. Simply pretending you are walking on thin ice forces you to connect with each part of your body and focus on the moment at hand.

Ask them Questions

Perhaps the best way to encourage mindfulness is simply to ask them about their day, what they particularly noticed and liked. This is polite conversation but also encourages your child to think about their day, individual moments, and unconsciously develop their mindfulness. 

You’ll be able to see the results in how they interact with others and how aware they are of what is going on around them.
