When peeling potatoes, it can be difficult to hold onto the potato—it’s slippery and awkward. If you’ve ever dropped a potato in the middle of peeling it or worse, scraped your fingers with the peeler, here’s an easy method to get your taters peeled quickly and safely:
Use a waiter’s styled corkscrew (the kind that looks like a little pocketknife) and using the corkscrew part, screw it into the bottom of the potato. Once it’s in place firmly, you can hold onto the corkscrew like a handle and get your potato peeling done a lot faster and without the dropsies or injuries
