Morning Routines to Start The Day Off with Jesus

One of the best and most positive ways to start the day off is with Jesus! I am going to share some tips for morning routines to start the day off with Jesus. It is a great way to wake up, grab your coffee or tea, and sit down and connect with Jesus! Let him bring you strength, hope, encouragement for the day ahead, and get your mind set on a positive outlook on the day!

We live in such a fast paced world, and sometimes we don’t find time to sit down and connect with the Lord. By starting your morning off it can help give you the fuel to make it through the day. On those moments you run into a rude person at the store or find you are dreading that nine o clock meeting, you can remember what you read this morning in your Bible, and feel that fuel and passion kick in!

There are so many ways you can start the day off with Jesus, and I am going to share some insight on different ways to create a morning routine. If your mornings are hectic, I suggest waking up 15-30 minutes earlier, to allow time for Jesus to start the day off right!

Starting Your Day Off With Jesus

Worship

Turn on the radio or play your favorite Christian band and just spend time worshipping the Lord! This is a great way to feel that rush of energy from the Lord! You can sit and worship or even play it while you are showering and getting around for the morning. You will be amazed at what a little worship music can do for the soul!

Bible Reading Plan Or Devotional

Consider creating a Bible reading plan, that you can commit to each day. This is a great way to get into the word of the Lord, and grow in your faith! You can do a devotional, and then when they share Bible verses at the end, grab your bible and read those verses, and go deeper into how that verse connects with your life right now. Or simply grab your Bible, and follow a Bible reading plan, and grow stronger by reading His word! And consider Bible Journaling.

Prayer Walk

This is something some people haven’t heard of, but a prayer walk is a wonderful way to get outdoors and get your adrenal pumping, and spend time with Jesus! You can walk around outside and praise the Lord for all the wonderful things you see, pray over friends and family, and just spend time rejuvenating your mind and body!

Affirmations

promise me affirmations

Affirmations are a great way to start the day, it sets your mind right for the day ahead. By reminding ourselves who we are in Christ, and the unconditional love he has for us is amazing! Create a list of your favorite Bible verses that speak affirmations over your life, and repeat them over and over in your mind or out-loud! A few of my favorites, I will list below.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ Isaiah 41:10

For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:26

He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings, you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. Psalms 91:4

Prayer Group

If you have some friends who are interested, you can have a prayer group. Where you get together each morning and spend time in prayer. You can pray for each other, friends and family, our nation, or anything you want. It is a very powerful way to pray if you have never tried it!

Be Still

Living in such a fast paced world, thinking about sitting and being still is next to impossible. But if you can take the time to just sit and be still, you will be amazed at how amazing it can be. If you can be still and know that He is God, and just take a moment to be in peace, and that He dwells inside of you, you will be amazed at the transformation you will begin to feel over time.
