How Grammarly Made Me a Better Writer
At the beginning of this year, I wrote a post called New Year, New Outlook, etc. in it, I talked about things that were changing about the blog from the planning to the design as well as the organization. One of the things I mentioned was a plugin called Grammarly. When I wrote that post, I was a little on the fence about it but now after using it for several months, I am totally in love with it.
First, think spellcheck but like spellcheck superhero version. I am totally impressed with all the things it catches. Not only misspelled words but also offers suggestions of other words to use and tells me if I use a word way too much. I have found that I like to use the word awesome a lot. Yep, I sure do.
Not only does it do all that it also helps with the grammar and tells me when I put a preposition at the end of a sentence. And to be honest, I do that a lot.
Although this plugin isn’t perfect, it is pretty darn close. I have learned though to make sure I go back and check the links to make sure that they are still correct and that they open in a new window. That is one thing that I noticed about the plugin I don’t like. But to be honest, if that is all that is wrong with the program then I am still on board.
I have started using it to update older posts and as I do this I often wonder what I was smoking with some of the past posts. Because let me tell you that you totally filled with errors. So that is how Grammarly has made me a better writer. So tell me, have you used this plugin before? In not then make sure you check Grammarly out. And speaking of plugins what is your favorite plugin?
