Fun Activities for Your Child’s Sleepover
If y’all have ever planned a slumber party before, you know it can be challenging to keep all the kids engaged. I like to try and create a mix of active and passive activities to ensure that everybody has a good time. Here are a few of my favorite fun activities for a child’s sleepover that you may want to try out for yourself.
Arts and Crafts
Instead of focusing on games with winners and losers, I think everyone can have a lot of fun by trying their hands at some arts and crafts. Y’all can choose simple stuff like paper and crayons or go for something a bit more engaging.
Something that I think is always fun for sleepovers is to consider things that glow in the dark. For example, you can make a lot of crafts with glow-in-the-dark vinyl, such as custom pillowcases. I also recommend glow stick bracelets with beads and charms to keep things illuminated and fun even after the lights go out.
Make Your Own Pizzas
If y’all want something that’s hands-on and fills the little tummies, one fun activity for your child’s sleepover is to let everybody make their own pizzas. You can buy miniature pizza crusts from most grocery stores and let all the kids put on their own toppings, sauce, cheese, and anything else they want to add.
This task can be a little messy, so when y’all are picking up toppings, you may also want to grab a few extra paper towel rolls to wipe up any errant sauce.
Movie Marathon
Once all the crafts and games start winding down and you want to bring down the room, you can set up a nice movie marathon. From Disney classics to whatever their favorite cartoons are, finding something to put on that everyone can enjoy is a good way to get all the kids into their PJs and nestled down in front of the TV.
Planning a sleepover doesn’t have to be a big challenge, but having the right activities can make it a better experience. With some of these plans, I can bet y’all will have a wonderful evening and a fun party.
