I hope you are enjoying this series as much as I have enjoyed sharing these wonderful ladies with you. One of the underlying themes I have noticed with most of their favorite photos is that they represent a change not only in their way of thinking but also in their lifestyle. Today’s feature is not different. You may remember I attended a conference where Nicole spoke recently. I attended not only because I had made a vow to attend one event a month which would help me to continue to grow as a person but also to support a fellow blogger but also I wanted to be that friendly face in the crowd for her.

I picked this photo because it was taken during a photo shoot that happened right after I made the decision to leave my academic position to pursue my business full time. It was a scary time, and even though I knew it was the right choice it didn’t ease the anxiety surrounding the change. I decided I needed a fresh start to this new stage in my life, so I cut my hair short, put on an outfit that made me feel confident and did this shoot for my blog. I felt more like myself in that moment then I had in a really long time.
