Fall Clothing Essentials You Should Have in Your Closet

Fall Clothing Essentials You Should Have in Your Closet from North Carolina Lifestyle Blogger Adventures of Frugal Mom

Aside from the breathtakingly vibrant leaves, the festive holiday spirit in the air and the delicious pumpkin-flavored treats, one of my favorite parts about fall is the fashion. However, y’all know I love to save money. Splurging on a new fall wardrobe every season isn’t practical. Fortunately, I don’t have to. If you’re on a budget, like me, I’ll let you in on a little secret: there is no need to go out and completely reinvent your wardrobe in order to create numerous different autumnal looks. All you need are a few classic fall pieces to instantly transform your wardrobe from summer to fall. Below, I have listed some of my top fall clothing essentials you should have in your closet.

A Classic Leather Jacket

One of the biggest fall clothing essentials in the book is a classic faux leather jacket. Leather jackets are perfect for layering; they go with virtually any outfit you can imagine. Whether you want to wear it over a flowy dress to add some edge, or with jeans for an effortlessly chic look, you really can’t go wrong. In addition to elevating your appearance, a leather jacket also serves the important purpose of keeping you warm as temperatures start to dip.

A Pair of Booties

Another fall clothing essential you should have in your closet is a pair of booties. Booties are incredibly versatile, making them the perfect fall shoe. While they provide more warmth than a pair of sandals or flats, they aren’t too heavy. As such, booties are ideal for the back and forth temperatures of fall.

A Chunky Sweater

As fall kicks off the start of sweater weather, it only makes sense to include a nice chunky sweater on this list of essentials. Few clothing items are cozier than a thick sweater on a chilly day. To give your outfit an autumnal vibe, consider choosing a sweater in a deep, muted color such as mustard, burgundy, forest green, or burnt orange.

Don’t Forget the Accessories

To complete your outfit, you’re going to need some staple accessories. Up top, I suggest opting for a classic beanie or a stylish wide-brimmed felt hat. In addition, you may also want to warm up your look with a fashionable scarf or faux-leather gloves. Lastly, a pair of high socks and a deep-colored oversized bag will help bring your outfit together.
