Book Review: Love You More

Love You More

Love You More is an amazing book about how one young mom decided to add to her family by not having a child the old fashioned way but by adopting. Jennifer Grant was already the mom of three young children , tow boys and a girl when she felt the calling to adopt another child. The story of how that decision was made gave me chills. Grant was sitting in church one day watching a couple who had just adopted a baby from another country dedicating their baby. Grant then goes on to say in her book that she hear an inner voice telling her that soon it would be her family up there dedicating their child. Right then and there the plan was laid out for her precious daughter, Mia to come into their family.

The rest of the book contains the story of the adoption of her daughter, Mia, from Guatemala and how she became a part of their family. In her trials she sometimes loses faith but then something would happen to make her regain her faith.

This book was a beautifully written book. I love how Grant not once decides to back away from adopting even when times got tough. This is an awesome book for anyone who has adopted a child, who is thinking about adopting a child or for that matter any one who has a child.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading the story of how Mia became a part of the Grant family. I also like the fact that she does not gloss over the hard parts of the adoption process- the waiting especially when society is based on instant gratification we learn to appreciate things more when we are made to wait to achieve our goals. We may not like it at the moment but looking back we appreciate things not being handed to us.
