Being A Part Of Something Bigger, When You are Part of A Team
It is no secret to long time followers, that my older girls are very much into sports. Maddie was a two-sport girl, swimming, and soccer but Mikaela is one sport. And that is her love soccer. I can’t tell you how many times lately I have heard I can’t eat this or I can’t drink this or I need to run because soccer season is just around the corner. In fact, she has already started conditioning for it with a few members of her team.

And when I say team, I mean those that she is closest to and confides in the most. Being part of a team, is like being part of a family. Sometimes you get along with each other and sometimes you want to rip every hair off their heads. (Luckily that hasn’t happened but don’t think they haven’t thought about.) Being on a team with all girls you can just imagine how much estrogen there is flowing at one time.

But the great thing about being part of a team, is that you are recognized as part of something bigger than yourself. Not only by your teammates, but also by the fans that follow you. I remember the day Mikaela got her warmup suit that not only had her name on it but also her team. Let me tell you that was a big day in the Vera household.
