A Day of Family and Fun
Yesterday, our whole family and a few of their friends went bowling and out to eat dinner. This to begin with was very unusual for us. We normally are all going in different directions that for once we actually could do something together. I had received a coupon from AMF Bowling for a free game of bowling for up to 10 people earlier in the week. I decided let’s do it. So we told the girls they could each invite one friend to join us. All of Gracie’s friends were busy but she had Beary,
Mikaela invited her friend, Carlissa,
and Maddie, of course, had Ricky.
The one game of bowling with shoe rental for the five of them to bowl was $22.09. The shoe rental was not included in the coupon. My husband and I had decided to watch the kids bowl. Ricky’s mom came and watched for a little while. Gracie , to begin with wasn’t to keen on bowling,
but when it came to the 7th frame she decided hey that’s not so bad. (So of course, I ended up paying for another game – so she could really enjoy herself.)
After bowling we took the kids and their friends (at this point we had picked up one more Ricky’s best friend, Peyton, joined us after he got off work) to our favorite local Mexican restaurant. I can honestly say a good time was had by all. I am so glad that we took the time to enjoy something as a family. What have you done lately as a family?
